Full Dentures

A-List full dentures replace all the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaw and fit snugly over your gums. A-List denture teeth are unique to you, we offer the best colour match for gum contour and the teeth, which are designed with your gender and personality in mind. The foundation of A-List denture bases is a high impact injection moulding technique, ensuring the best possible comfortable fit. Complete tooth loss can result in your jawbone and surrounding gums to shrink, more often in the lower half of your face which can result in the sagging of your cheeks giving you a prematurely aged appearance. Your A-List dentures will assist you to enjoy the foods you like, speak clearly, improve your confidence and make you smile more!

Partial Dentures

Partial A-List dentures replace teeth that are lost or missing and can sometimes be supported by your remaining teeth. Your smile, overall appearance and confidence will improve dramatically and you will be able to enjoy the foods you like and speak more comfortably.

A-List Dentures offer three types of partial dentures:

Acrylic Partial Dentures

A-List acrylic partial dentures are made with the highest quality materials and are uniquely handcrafted for every patient, from the gender style, through to the colour of the gum and the shape, size and colour of the teeth.

Wearing acrylic partial denture may be the best option for you if you are loosing your teeth and require a partial denture for an immediate solution.

If you would prefer a light alloy denture, your remaining teeth would need to be healthy, stabilized and any gum disease or inflammation treated first. Our friendly dental team are more than happy to discuss this with you further.

Light Alloy Dentures

A-List light alloy partial dentures consist of acrylic and a light alloy metal, such as chrome cobalt or titanium. Light alloy partial dentures are completely biocompatible with your mouth; they are less bulky, more comfortable and more durable than acrylic partial dentures. Light alloy dentures are held firmly in place with metal clasps or alternatively with resin clasps that match your existing tooth colour. If you do not like the thought of visible clasps we offer more discreet precision attachments to hold your denture in place.

A-List light alloy partial dentures are more hygienic than acrylic dentures and cover a smaller area of your oral cavity making them more comfortable, allowing your palate to experience food sensations better.

Semi-Flexible Partial Dentures

A-List semi-flexible dentures are just that, they offer a more comfortable fit and adjust to any irregularities and shape changes in the mouth.  They are fabricated in a shorter timeframe and are made from hard wearing injection moulded semi-flexible resin, which replicates the overall look and feel of natural teeth. Denture adhesive is not required with semi flexible partial dentures.

Immediate Dentures

Usually an A-List immediate denture can be fitted straight after your teeth have been removed. Our dental team will take the necessary steps including measuring and taking impressions of your mouth.

With immediate dentures you do not have to be without your teeth while your gums are healing. After the extraction of your teeth, bone and gums can shrink over time especially during the first six months. If your gums shrink you may require realignment, some adjustments or a replacement. Our dental team will be able to discuss this with you in more detail.

In some cases, our dental team may advise that you wait until your gums are healed, before having your dentures fitted, as this can sometimes encourage a much better fit.

Denture Repairs

Our Dental Technicians can repair your dentures usually within the hour, due to having our state-of-the-art dental laboratory on-site. If your dentures have been fractured or the denture teeth have been chipped, we can usually repair them. In the unforeseen circumstances that your dentures break whilst you are wearing them or they have broken on several occasions, there might be a problem with the shape and fit of your dentures, so please do not hesitate to contact a member of our dental team.

Implant Retained Dentures

A-List implant retained dentures offer a functionality that is as close to natural teeth and holds your dentures firmly in place, enabling you to enjoy the foods you like, laugh and talk with confidence.

As part of your complimentary consultation with an A-List Implant Dentist they will assess the condition of your jawbone, the soft tissue of your mouth and address any other general health issues you may have before discussing the types of dentures you require. If you decide to undergo treatment, the dentist will develop an individual treatment plan to arrange the fitting of the dental implants that help your dentures look and function just like natural teeth.

Dental implants are small titanium* screws that facilitate as the roots of your teeth. As a biocompatible material, which means material used in surgical implants, which is not harmful or toxic to living tissue, they offer a realistic connection between living bone and the surface of a load-bearing artificial implant.

We offer three types of A-List Implant Retained Dentures;

Dental Implants for Removable Dentures

Implant assisted removable dentures are easy to remove due to the the components which are attached that snap on and off. The ideal solution for people who prefer the option of removable dentures.

Dental Implants for Fixed Dentures

Securely attached to the dental implants, this type of denture implant can only be removed by one of our dental professionals at A-List Dentistry.

Mini Dental Implants for Removable Dentures

If conventional dental implants are not suitable, i.e if the jawbone is not sufficient enough to support standard implants, then mini dental implants can be used to keep removable dentures in place. We do not recommend them as a long-term solution but they do offer some of the following advantages:

  • Less invasive procedure
  • More cost effective than standard dental implants
  • The treatment can be performed under local anesthetic
  • The procedure and recovery time is much quicker than with standard dental implants

*Titanium is a silver-white precious metal that is not harmful or toxic and it stimulates bone growth, improving the health of your jaw. In dentistry, Titanium is used for dental implants due to it’s high strength and resistance to corrosion.
